Rescueing Kittens

I did something today that I have never done, that is rescue a kitten (maybe it was a young cat) from a tree. Initially I was going to leave it, as it is going to have to learn how to get down somehow, then it tried to get down forward and ended up clinging on to the tree. It was quite happy for me to coax it down as I stood below till I could reach down and lift it from the trunk. ...

Bass

So after begging and borrowing the various parts I needed I finally have everything that would technically allow me to play a bass guitar, hopefully over the next few months I will have the time to dedicate to learning to play it properly. Had a bit of a play over the last day and it is great fun! ...

Ooops! I Did It Again

Yes, it has come to that time of the year again that I remember that I was meant to be blogging more, in fact I made it a New Year’s resolution to blog more often, and that came to absolutely nothing and here we are almost 9 months later. It has been a busy day, I have installed WordPress 2.2 both on here and on I Married You and removed almost all of the old site for storage space reasons, the only part of my website that is still there is my CS335 - Dissertation which several people link to, so I thought it only fair not to move that one. I will look through my University Stuff and see if any of it is worth bringing across to WordPress. ...

Forgot to Blog

All the mad hat stuff going on arround here and I have been forgetting to blog, that said before this weekend there was virtualy nothing to blog about! OK… will start from last Thursday, headed off to RiverCamp at about 10:30. For those that don’t know I am a Christian, I go to a church and count myself as part of an church organisation called Elim (Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance technicaly) and RiverCamp is our yearly prayer, worship and teaching event. Jon and Carol Arnott were doing most of the teaching this year, which was great for the most part, even though I missed the teaching that you would get at Spring Harvest or similar. All in all it was a really great weekend I feel that RiverCamp is still very young and very much in its infancy but it is growning up fast, huge future ahead of us I am sure. ...

Inteligent Bears in Croatia

Pete and Elkanah better be watching out, it seems that bears in Croatia (where they have gone for their honeymoon) have become “Brighter than the average bear”: Ananova.com The Loknar family from Gerovo in western Croatia said the bear had knocked at their door three times and they were now refusing to answer the door.

Congratulations Pete & Elkanah!

Congratulations Pete and Elkanah, welcome to the world of married life! I feel that I redeamed myself somewhat I delivered my best mans speech on Saturday with only a couple of stutters and fluff ups and got a fair few laughs in the right place: Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen – I would like to start by thanking Pete on behalf of the bridesmaids for his kind comments and echo the fact that they look wonderful and performed their role fantastically. ...

It's hot in Brighton

Whilst some of the country is suffering flash floods and landslides, Brighton is boiling hot… fortunatly I work in a basement which keeps it quite cool for the moment, however last night was excruciatingly hot even with a fan on. On another note, I think I am going to have to take a crash course in Microsoft Internet Information Services, as it is perfectly clear it has changed quite a bit since IIS4 (I believe it was re-written for IIS6) either way, I feel a little lost in it at the moment, all the functions are there… they are just in the wrong place. ...
